This is one of the most convicting yet beautiful skits I have ever heard,and the song is amazing as well.It is called “Everything” by Lifehouse.The video really shows how we put faith in everything but Christ.How often do we believe that God will not satisfy and trust in the futile, false-advertised things of this world.We fall for the lie that the things of this world will satisfy,but all they do is leave us wasted and weary of searching for happiness.It makes us want more.But the thing is this.We can NEVER have too much of God.He is endless.His love for us is ENDLESS.This is so overwhelming.That the God of our universe,who we have mocked,spit on,hated,nailed to the cross,would love us at all.The one, who,because of us(of everything we did and still do against him), had his own Father turn his back on Him,which is the worst punishment and consequence that anyone can suffer,not only loved us,but he loved us with and love that will never end.I cried when I saw this skit,because I was faced with the bitter reality that my sin.All the things I did,did that to Him,and yet he loved me with the strongest love there is.I hope this skit blesses you the way it did me.Praise God forever.
One thing I want to mention that I have against the video.In the beginning of the temptation,Romeo pushes Jesus away from the girl.God can NOT be pushed away from us by temptation.We push Him away when we fall into the temptation.To even think that temptation is more powerful than God is foolish.God is so much more powerful than any temptation that we could ever face. Sure this video may not be completely theologically sound, but it has touched my life, and i hope it will touch yours.
